![]() It was sweet, shocking and, at times, really eerie and compelling. Other than that, the plot was fantastic and very well thought out. But maybe that’s just my weird way of thinking. I do not want to compare this to Twilight, but the relationship in this book kind of made me think about Bella and Edward. ![]() I also didn’t really like the modern cliche of a girl falling in love with the enemy and the enemy being all mysterious and everything. However I would recommend this to older readers. I would also like to talk about the romance part of this book which I found was rather… innapropriate and too forward to be a young adult read. She sort of represents what a normal teen girl is like. The fact that Feyre is also timid and innocent but not a complete damsel in distress. A Court of Thorns and Roses (or ACOTAR) is the explosive second series from the queen of young adult fantasy books, Sarah J Maas. And also, Feyre is a capable and independant individual, yet not as extreme as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, which is another thing I really loved about this book. Tamlin, through his mysterious identity and rash features, reminded me of the ‘Opera Ghost’ from The Phantom of the Opera, which I really loved, and thus made me really like Tamlin’s character. ![]() ![]() Firstly I would like to talk about the characters. ![]()
